CFTC Chairman Christopher Giancarlo was sworn in as a CFTC Commissioner in 2014 and was confirmed as Chairman in August 2017. Before entering public service, Chairman Giancarlo served as the Executive Vice President of GFI Group Inc. Prior to that he was Executive Vice President and U.S. Legal Counsel of Fenics Software and was a corporate partner in the New York law firm of Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner. Chairman Giancarlo’s keynote address provided an overview of the regulatory agenda for listed and cleared derivatives markets in the U.S. as he approaches the end of his term as Chairman.
